Busting Myths:-Women's Roles, Rapes, Sati, and Pardah in Ancient India"?   Women are an integral part of society, and even in today's modern age, women do not enjoy full rights. In rural areas of India, women often face mistreatment. Shockingly, this issue is not confined to rural regions; even in urban areas, women are sometimes treated poorly and seen as inferior to men, merely objects of enjoyment. Moreover, when a woman is a victim of assault, it's often viewed as her fault, not the perpetrator's. But ancient India was different from these misconceptions. Some might question practices like Sati and Pardah, but let's address these issues in this blog. People often assume that Western society has always granted more rights to women, while Indian culture disrespects women. However, this is not entirely true. I'm not suggesting that Vedic society was utopian, but it wasn't as regressive as some portray it. The status of women was far better than it i...

Unveiling the Mystery of Indra: Vedic Origins and Puranic Transformations Have you ever wondered how the god mentioned in the Vedas, Indra, transformed into a demigod who engaged in questionable actions in the stories of the Puranas? This intriguing question might have crossed your mind, and in this blog, we'll delve into the evolution of Indra to uncover the mysteries surrounding this deity.   Let's start by examining verse 1.101.5 of the Rigveda: “ यो जा॒त ए॒व प्र॑थ॒मो मन॑स्वान्दे॒वो दे॒वान्क्रतु॑ना प॒र्यभू॑षत् । यस्य॒ शुष्मा॒द्रोद॑सी॒ अभ्य॑सेतां नृ॒म्णस्य॑ म॒ह्ना स ज॑नास॒ इन्द्र॑ : ॥ यो जात एव प्रथमो मनस्वान्देवो देवान्क्रतुना पर्यभूषत् । यस्य शुष्माद्रोदसी अभ्यसेतां नृम्णस्य मह्ना स जनास इन्द्रः ॥ ”   “He, who as soon as born,is the first (of the deities); who has done honour to the gods by his exploits; he, at whose might heaven and earth are alarmed, and (who is known) by the greatness of his strength, he, men, is Indra.” ...

Sikhi & Sanatan: Exploring Common Threads in Spirituality

S ikhi & Sanatan: Exploring Common Threads in Spirituality I have heard some rascals claim that there are significant differences between Sanatan Dharma and Sikhi. I find it baffling that anyone would suggest Sikhism has Abrahamic origins. Let's delve into why these claims are incorrect. In this blog, we will explore the similarities between Sanatan and Sikhi to emphasize that there's no substantial distinction between these two philosophies. So, let's get started.   I will use the term "Sikhi" instead of "Sikhism" because "Sikhi" is the traditional name for Sikhism. Those who assert that there is a dichotomy between Sanatan and Sikhi are, in my view, rascals. They may not be aware that Guru Granth Sahib is replete with praises for Lord Ram and Lord Krishna. Here are some examples:   Ik Onkar Satigur Prasaadh ।। One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru: dhan dha(n)n o raam ben baajai || Blessed, blessed is...
