Sikhi & Sanatan: Exploring Common Threads in Spirituality
.jpeg)
I have heard some rascals claim that there are significant differences between Sanatan Dharma and Sikhi. I find it baffling that anyone would suggest Sikhism has Abrahamic origins. Let's delve into why these claims are incorrect. In this blog, we will explore the similarities between Sanatan and Sikhi to emphasize that there's no substantial distinction between these two philosophies. So, let's get started.
I will use
the term "Sikhi" instead of "Sikhism" because
"Sikhi" is the traditional name for Sikhism.
Those who
assert that there is a dichotomy between Sanatan and Sikhi are, in my view,
rascals. They may not be aware that Guru Granth Sahib is replete with praises
for Lord Ram and Lord Krishna. Here are some examples:
Ik Onkar Satigur Prasaadh।।

Also, my dear Sikh brothers. In Guru Granth Sahib,
Hari word has been used 8334 times, Ram word has been used 2533 times and Gopal
word has been used 491 words.
There was an eternal brotherhood between Hindus and
Sikhs. The elder son of Hindus became Sikh. Today, these rascals are trying to
break peace between Hindus and Sikhs. They don’t know what Guru Gobind Singh Ji said about Hinduism:-
"सकल जगत में खालसा पंथ गाजे, जगे धर्म हिंदू सकल भंड भाजे”
“Khalsa Panth will be prominent in the entire
world, Dharma will awaken and people who look at Sanatan Dharma with a slant
will come to their senses.”
Also Sikhi. Also focuses on the philosophies of
Karma, Dharma, Moksh, Reincarnation, Etc. which are the basic principles of
Sanatan dharma.
Now lets come to those people who say let’s Sikhi
is of Abrahamic origin. This is absolutely false. First of all you do not know
about Sanatan dharma. You do not know about Sikhi and also you do not about
Abrahamic religion. You know absolutely nothing. Because you are talking
rubbish. See in the Abrahamic religion they do not follow the principles of
Karma, Dharma, Moksh. Etc. There is no Guru Shishya tradition there. But in
Sikhi and Sanatan there is Guru shishya tradition. All the Abrahamic religion
believes in the judgement day, but in Sanatan Dharma and Sikhi they do not
believe in any judgment day. But still they will say that God is “ik omkar “(One
God)as referred in Gurugranth Sahib and they will say that Hinduism is a
polytheistic religion. So you do not know about the Hindus correctly because
you are talking rubbish again here. In Sanatan Dharm there is only one God, but
that one God has took various forms for your needs. That one God is Ram,
Krishna, Shiva or whatever you want to call him. So there is no difference
between God just his form are different. Also Sanatanis believe in Formless or
Nirakara form of God.
So ultimately there is no difference between
sanatan and Sikhi. I hope the two communities live in peace.
