Why is religion rising in India?

Image
Rise of Religion in India    Religion has acted both as a great friend and also as the greatest enemy of humanity since ancient times. As a friend, it has helped in the development of great architecture. Great people like Swami Vivekananda, Jesus Christ, Adi Shankaracharya, and Vidyaranya have emerged from religious backgrounds. Religion has produced men who were great lovers of their country and who sacrificed their lives for it. Great saints and thinkers have promoted moral values and made significant scientific discoveries. But the same religion has also preached religious extremism, which has led to violence and has resulted in the deaths of thousands of people throughout history, whether through the Islamic Crusades wars, or Hindu-Muslim conflicts in India. This religion has promoted superstition and terrorism too. I have previously written about religion and spirituality on my blog; you can read it here.     Although spirituality and youth may appe...

Menstruation in Sanatan Dharma

Image
Menstruation in Sanatan Dharma  Menstruation, a natural biological process experienced by women, has been clouded by myths and taboos across cultures and religions. However, within the rich tapestry of Sanatan Dharma, there exists a nuanced perspective that encourages understanding and reverence for this natural phenomenon. It's imperative to peel away the layers of misconception and delve into the essence of Sanatan Dharma's teachings to grasp a deeper understanding of menstruation and its significance. since menstruation is one thing which is unique to women, men have made a big fetish about it and woven all sorts of superstitious nonsense around it.   I would request reader to read full blog to understand concepts clearly.   So, pseudo-feminists and Westerners might have told you that Indian tradition does not allow women to cook food or worship during their periods because they are considered "impure." But they will never tell you that in many parts of ...

Vedic Philosophy on Ghosts

Vedic Philosophy on Ghosts Many Babas, whether Hindu, Muslim, or Christians, are making significant contributions to world by purportedly removing ghosts from people. Many individuals genuinely believe in the possibility of ghost possession. However, such beliefs often stem from lack of education and a failure to study Vedic scriptures. Even educated and self-proclaimed scientific individuals sometimes abandon rationality when it comes to religion, viewing it as distinct from science and rationality. This perspective is flawed because Vedic religion is closely intertwined with science. However, engaging in such activities often leads people to perceive them as another form of unscientific propaganda. Now, let's delve into the Vedic perspective on ghosts, possession, and related phenomena.       Now, Vedic philosophy encompasses various branches, each with differing opinions on ghosts. However, I will provide a generalized view. Some branches of philosophy bel...

Exploring Vedanta:- Indroduction

Exploring Vedanta:- Indroduction There are various paths to uncovering truth—truth about life and existence. Neither you nor the world are true. Allow me to illustrate this. Truth, by its nature, remains unchanging if it changes it is false not true. So truth never changes; However, you, as a person, undergo constant change—from infancy to adulthood to old age, and so on. Similarly, the world undergoes continual transformation, indicating its impermanence. Therefore, truth must transcend these changes, residing in that which remains constant—the self or Atman. Vedanta delves into the essence of self, exploring the reality of who you truly are. Unlike many other philosophies, Vedanta does not revolve around the concept of God or the afterlife. It encourages questioning and introspection, challenging even the notion of Ishwara or God, suggesting it as Maya or illusion. According to Vedanta, only the self is real; everything else is fleeting. Vedanta represents the pinnacle of Vedic ...

Holi: Beyond Colors, Embracing Spirituality

Holi: Beyond Colors, Embracing Spirituality Hindus have ruined their festivals. Holi has just become a cultural festival rather than a spiritual one. Many celebrate festivals like Holi for their bodily comforts and the enjoyment of the senses. However, the true purpose of these festivals is to elevate the human spirit beyond mere material indulgence. Indian festivals are not just for bodily happiness; they serve as reminders that you've spent your whole year in vain, on the path of lies, and now it's time to uplift yourself. I previously wrote a blog on Diwali on a similar issue.   Let's delve into the story behind Holi. Long ago, there lived a demon king named Hiranyakashipu. Now, whether you believe in demons is your choice, but in the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna discusses the qualities of demonic nature. You can refer to chapter 16. Those who are tamasic in nature, who harm society, and so on, are considered demoniac. Hiranyakashipu declared himself as God and pro...

Bageshwar Baba Exposed

Image
Bageshwar Baba Exposed   Before writing this blog, I want to clarify that I am in no way disrespecting any religion or religious guru(Dharm ke Thekedar). I am just expressing my opinion on the topic based on my observation and research. I hope you read this blog with a rational mind. If you find me wrong at any  point, please let me know in the comment section. And do not discuss based on faith; talk on the basis of facts.     India has continued to be a land of saints, encompassing figures from great spiritual leaders like Kabir,Premanand ji  to deceptive individuals like Asharam Bapu . Even after Asharam's arrest, there are still people who perceive him as innocent, showcasing a phenomenon known as blind faith, where facts are overlooked. Despite the Akhil Bhartiya Akhara Parishad, the apex organization of saints and sadhus in India, declaring Asharam as a false baba, there are those who persist in having faith in him. Similar situations arise...
