Beware! You Are Celebrating Diwali The Wrong Way
Our
Diwali has NO connection with Ram, it has connection with sales, bumper
offers and crackers. Our Diwali is cultural festival and not a spiritual festival.
Diwali, the festival of lights, holds
a special place in the hearts of millions in India. It's a time of joy,
togetherness, and celebrations. However, as the years go by, one can't help but
wonder if Diwali has gradually transformed into more of a cultural extravaganza
than a spiritual reverence. In this blog, we'll delve into the heart of this
transformation and examine the roots of this cultural shift and how to really
celebrate Diwali. Read this blog if you are “Sanatani”. Even if you don’t
consider Ram as “God”, consider him as a “Mahapurush” or great man.
Let’s
understand the history of Diwali first .Diwali, also known as Deepavali, is
often associated with the return of Lord Ram to Ayodhya after a long and
arduous exile of 14 years. So the day he returned is day of Diwali but today it has just become a cultural
festival rather than being a spiritual festival.
Diwali is
more than just a festival; it's a time of spiritual practice and discipline.
Unfortunately, many people miss the essence of Diwali by focusing solely on
external celebrations. They indulge in various materialistic activities and
neglect the spiritual significance that underlies the festival.
In today's
world, many celebrate festivals like Diwali for their bodily comforts and the
enjoyment of the senses. However, the true purpose of these festivals is to
elevate the human spirit beyond mere material indulgence. These celebrations
often turn into a superficial show, where people momentarily pretend to follow
Ram's ideals.
Father of
Ram ordered Ram to leave the vast Empire and he left happily. Even if Ram said no, his father
would agree and he would really very happy. His father Had to order him just
because of vow which he gave to his wife. We are not delving into Ramayan
here. Ram left empire without arguing.
Even he was happy to go and when he returned he didn’t even scolded “Kaikai”
the mother Due to whom Ram had to live in the forest for “14 years”. Ram’s
life is full of hardships and struggles if we look at it. But you do not know about
life of Ram, because you never read scriptures. You never read Ramcharitmanas
or Yoga Vashishtha or Valmiki Ramayana. You just know the
Ramayan of TV and there is a great difference between Ramayana of television
and Ramayan of scriptures. Diwali is the festival of Sadhana and Tapasya.
But no one does sadhana and Tapasya. Everyone likes to do enjoyment . You do
not know about Ram and still you celebrate Diwali. Just go to jungle and live
there for 14 days o and then you will start respecting Ram. It will be really
impossible for you to live even for 14 days in the jungle and Ram lived for 14
years. He didn’t even had slippers. He walked bare foot on the ground. Even
when he became the king, his life still was full of struggles and whole life he practiced sacrifice or “tyaga”. And it really
surprises me when I see that we celebrate our festivals even for our bodily
comforts. But the festivals are actually made to take us beyond the bodily
comforts. The whole year we do various heinous activities(eating meat, speaking
lie, fighting etc), but for one day we pretend to celebrate Rams ideals. How
dare we celebrate Diwali. What Ram has taught us, we never followed it. It
really surprises me when people are so happy on the Diwali, you have forgot the ideals of Ram for 364 days
and on one day You are becoming a great devotee of Ram. Is it respect or betrayal to RAM?. Ram left
his entire empire and we cant even leave small petty materialisic things. Ram won
from Ravana and we can’t even win from our senses. But Ram what Ram has taught
us, we never follow it. We just want to celebrate a cultural festival for our
own sense enjoyment and not a spiritual festival meant for the devotion to Lord
Ram. Just see the man/woman who is burning crackers and celebrating Diwali.
Compare his/her character with the character of Ram. Ram was fearless. He was
not having enough army, but still he was fearless while fighting with Ravana.
And Ravan He even defeated great demigods. Ram was just having the army of “Vanaras”
but still he defeated Ravana just because of his courage, fearlessness and
faith in God. See the character of Ram with the person who is just burning
crackers. Ram means Truth.
These people
say that we are “Sanatani”a. Actually, you are not. There are 110 crore
people in India who proclaim themselves as Sanatani, They are just ritualistic and superstitious
people. You celebrate cultural Diwali and not spiritual Diwali, I again repeat.
Ram did not want anything in his life. He was desireless. Why not you leave
your bad habits. Why not you stop sleeping for 10 hours? Why don’t you stop Harming
Others And why don’t you stop eating meat? Majority of so called Sanatanis eat
meat. Which is against the scriptures. obviously, if you come from the Aghori
culture or from specific Tantra traditions(By Tantra I don’t mean black magic).
For you it is allowed, but for others it
is not allowed. Let’s celebrate Diwali as a festival of sacrifice(by sacrifice I
mean tyaga kind of detachment or reunication).
We worship
Lakshmi and Ganesh on Diwali instead of Ram. We should worship Ram, Sita and
Lakshman on this day, but we worship Lakshmi and Ganesh instead. Why do people
worship Lakshmi? Because she is referred as the “Goddess of wealth” and it is the greatest
misconception ever. People think that Lakshmi is the giver of wealth or
material prosperity. But it’s wrong. She is the giver of spiritual wealth. She
is the giver of bhakti. She is the giver of divine knowledge. But you do not
understand it because you never attended spiritual discourses. You just
attended religious discourses by some False Guru. You never read the Scriptures.
Goddess is not going to give you some materialistic thing. She is always going
to give you spiritual thing. And remember this as great sages mentioned if you worship Lakshmi
without Narayan. Then there is going to be a destruction. When you
worship Lakshmi alone, she comes to you in the form of Maya or illusion(illusion
is not appropriate word but due to lack of words in English vocabulary we use
it). But when you worship Lakshmi with Narayan She will give you the spiritual
knowledge and Bhakti. And you will surely grow in your life. But we just want
materialistic things. So what can I do?
We say that
we celebrate Diwali for Lord Ram, but actually no one cares about Ram. While
you are shopping for Diwali, Is Lord Ram in your mind? No. Absolutely not. Just
because we want enjoy . But to enjoy in the name of religion is more good
because it seems godly. All the heinous activities in the name of religion
seems good, but they are actually not. We just take the name of Ram and do
the works of Ravana. We don’t have even 1% of RAM in our character but still we
will go and burst crackers. We just want to fulfil our own desires in the
name of religion. That is what people have been doing since ages. RAM. Who
always sacrificed Things in his life For his festival, we are bringing various
materialistic things in our home. Isn’t that foolishness. Ram, who is the whole
life practiced non attachment. On his day we are eating Kaju Katli. Isn’t
it foolishness? And I am not saying
these things on my own will. These are the things which I have learned in
scriptures and from the great devotees of Lord.
The Diwali which you worship and the Diwali
which people of Ayodhya worshipped As per Ramcharitmanas is really different. People
are having the money to buy various. Jewelleries and Other materialistic
things, but they are not having the money to purchase Ram Charit Manas.
When Ram
came back to Ayodhya, no firecrackers were burnt. And please tell what
spiritual meaning is contained in crackers? So my dear foolish people, respect
the order of court and government. Crackers were never a part of Diwali. We
just added these for our own personal enjoyment in the name of religion because
again everything in the name of religion
seems godly. And I’m greatly surprised
to see that people are going against the order of Supreme Court. They are
saying that Supreme Court is against our religion. But I want to tell you that you
do not follow the Sanatan. Ou haven’t read Gita or Vedanta. There were no firecrackers mentioned in Ramcharitmanas.
And they are causing pollution too, And Diwali comes in a time when there is
already a lot of pollution in the air I am not going into all that stuff. So
crackers contribute to more in pollution?. And the people who have respiratory
problems suffer most. I am myself having a respiratory disease so I know how it
feels. I am also not against anything but I am just telling what scripture say.
You never follow scriptures, you just
want to burn crackers for your personal
enjoyment. But nothing will happen by burning crackers. Ram is not going to
become happy. Ram will become happy when you will love Him, when you will gain
his virtues when you will Lead life which he lived.
Now I will
tell you the correct method of celebrating Diwali. just remember Ram the whole
day. Read Ram Charitmanas or Valmiki Ramayana or Yoga Vishishtha and try to inculcate the values of Ram in your
personality. Celebrate Diwali of Ram and not of the world. Try to understand
Ram, glorify him, worship him. And don’t be afraid to stand alone by
celebrating Diwali this way. If you are materialistic, do the Diwali as you are
doing. But if you are a serious spiritual
aspirant, do the Diwali which I told and it is not a Diwali which is invented
by me, it is invented by great devotees of Ram as I have read in the books and
as I have Heard in the Satsang(spiritual discourses). If you celebrate
Diwali this way, every day will become a Diwali for you. Great devotees of Lord
and don’t celebrate Diwali as you do.
